The Mother Sultans Series is the fruit of a selection of 10 Sultans who lived during different periods of the Empire. Clothes of the figures were designed on the basis of works of the then-contemporary European painters and on various historical sources.
Ten figures include:
1. Mal Hatun
2. Hüma Hatun
3. Hürrem Sultan
4. Nurbanu Valide Sultan
5. Kösem Valide Sultan
6. Hatice Turhan Valide Sultan
7. Gülnus Emetullah Valide Sultan
8. Mihrisah Valide Sultan
9. Naksidil Valide Sultan
10. Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan
Each figure is designed on a stand in the size of the international standards. They are completely hand-dyed. In the matter of colors we paid special attention to use the colors close to the real ones. The details of the clothes and accessories are tried to reflect on the figures carefully. Short histories of the figures in the booklet were prepared by Mr. Ismail Orman, Historian of Art
